So I'm taking it seriously too. Fortunately my roof has been fixed so all I can do for now is make sure my gutters and runoff lanes are clean.

So it did start raining yesterday but no biggy so far. Funny how rain affects Southern California. While reporting on the tragedy in Haiti Channel 7 cut to their Storm Tracker special headquarters, 3D graphics and all to report this shocking news - "Hollywood Streets are Wet!". Makes you think - where's your head at?

The last 2 storms were very wet but also short lived. They all seem to follow the same pattern, at least here in Long Beach, wettish cloudy morning, major rain in the afternoon and evening and than a drizzle till it stops by mid evening. Yes in the evening, when it's really coming down, the streets do get flooded but as soon as it calms down the drains do their work and in less than an hour, except for a few underpasses, it's all clear.

Well I guess this signals the impending end to our week of storms. It was wet but we needed it. Looking forward to clear skies and spectacular mountain views on the weekend.
The rainbow lied - we still had a thunderstorm and hail in the evening but today it's clear skies and the air has that squeaky clean taste.
