Keep Falling Behind

My journaling plans keep slipping away. It's already Tuesday and the last post was about Saturday. It takes longer to post than I thought it would. Maybe I'm overdoing it. Sunday and Monday will have to wait.

Anyway, as is now the tradition, we all stayed up late and got up late. Still can't get our body's to understand the time change. It is getting better and tomorrow we have to be at the train station by 6 am to catch the train to Krakow. That should make for a forced reset.

Today it's Museums after we have some breakfast. Rachel was exited to find peanut butter and grape jelly at the store yesterday.

A walk in the park

On Saturday it took us a long time to wake up. Our bodies are still not here or there. We will be going to see the Warsaw Mermaid and than Julek wants to walk to Łazienki. Seems a long walk to me but we will see. When we get back Michal will hook up with us. Evening plans are still up in the air.

Just Of the Plane

Where are we, what day is it, what's my name?

We are all in a daze. Our bodies are still on Long Beach time but we have to force them 9 hours ahead into Warszawa time. We are going to try to stay awake as long as we can. I'm just so glad the dire forcasts of rain and sleet did not come true. There are some patches of old snow but it's very pleasant, if a little nippy, outside.

Well - That was Relatively Easy

It had it's long moments and yes we are all tiered, but, it went off without a hitch. No delays, no miss-communications, lost luggage or even terribly annoying co-travelers or security people. Julek picked us up at the Okięcie International Airport and we took a taxi van to the apartment in Środmieście. Gałczyńskiego street seems to me like it never changes even though they tore down the old Kino Skarpa - here and Hackett always feel like home to me.

The Long Jump Over the Pond

Half way between Greenland and Keflavik at 35,000 feet. The booze I had with "lunch" has worn off, my butt is numb and the teenagers from the orchestra, in the row behind us, are playing UNO and chattering very loud. I slept all I can in these conditions, I feel like the air in here is sucking all the moisture out of my body and we still have over 2,000 miles to go. Guess this is my personal low point for this hop over the pond.
